  1. Suicide Squad is a north-american movie released in 2016, directed by David Ayer and protagonised by Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie and others. It had 2 wins and 3 nominations.

The plot of the movie is about the recruitment of super villains by the government in order to deal with crime in the city after Superman's death. These villains are the most dangerous criminals ever known, and they are released from prison to negotiate with the United States government.

Honestly, before I watched it I did not have great expectations, only because I knew it was one more super heroes and villains action movie of the lot. However, I think that this genre is appropiated to watch in the cinema due to high costs on the production. That means special effects and its high quality can be more fun to watch on the large screen than watching it at home. Based on this, I can say it is an entertaining film to watch, but it is still an average one, without big innovations of the script and narrative aspects.

One of the greatest expectations with regards to the cast was the appearance of a new Joker interpreted by Jared Leto. After the "death" of the last Joker, Heath Ledger, people doubted that any other actor could keep up. And Jared Leto could not, indeed. The rest of the cast was just good, nothing impresive. However, I would like to mention the surprising acting of Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), who could catch and express the madness and dark humour of this remarkable character.

I would totally recommend this movie, but only with the condition that you are seeking something entertaining, fast, with very good special effects, and not something more profound or that makes you think.

  2. Deepwater Horizon is a 2016 American film directed by Peter Berg, it is based on the 2010 Deepwater Horizon explosion and oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

This film tells the story of Mike and Caleb, just two of more than 120 crew members, and how they will try to rescue their co-workers in this massive and violent explosion. Meanwhile, they will be trying to escape from the burning rig themselves.

I am really excited to see this film, because is based on real events and probably, during the film, the adrenaline will be present. So i expect that is going to be a really nice movie with a lot of drama and action.

Mark Wahlberg, Kurt Russell, John Malkovich, Gina Rodriguez, Dylan O'Brien and Kate Hudson are the characters and i have no doubts that they did it well. Mark has acted in a lot of good movies (Ted, the fighter, transformer, etc..) and in this previous performances he has been an incredible actor. For other part, i have seen how Dylan O'Brien acts and i really like how he plays roles (for example on The Maze runner). Consequently, i agree with this selection.

I think that this movie should be seen on cinema, because it needs a big screen to capture the action. Anyway, i recommend this movie because is part of history and everyones should know what happened.

  3. "Storks" is an american comedy movie, it's directed and write by Nicholas Stoller and Doug Sweetland. The movie was premiered on Septermber 26th in Chile.
The movie it's about storks and babys; where the owner of the company delivery babys to the stork and they fly to the city where the human familys live.
Although I haven`t seen it yet, I would like to because I like a lot the children's films because they are very funny and I don't have to think very much.
I prefer to wait for this kind movies to be up online and then watch it because, there is no a lot of special effects that worth it to see on the cinema.

The movie's cast is conformed by Andy Samberg as Junior 1, Kelsey Grammer as Hunter1,Katie Crown as Tulip, Keegan-Michael Key as Rich, Jordan Peele as Micheal, Danny Trejo as Gaspar, Jennifer Aniston as Sra. Gardner and Ty Burrell as Sr. Gardner. I agree with this selection because the other films where they appear before are great so I think that they do a good job.
I have seen the trailer so I recommend it for people who likes children's movies and want to spend a good time in their houses.

  4. This year 2016 is available in the area of action, adventure, drama, suspense films, Deepwater Horizon. The story of this film is located in the Gulf of Mexico. In 2010 a sector of the Deepwater Horizon oil rig explodes, burning the platform and spilling millions of liters of oil into the ocean. This film shows how the crew lived, some wounded and survivors trying to save their lives and that of others in the situation. I am interested to see this movie, because when it was the catastrophe, the news showed the natural disaster, but not the story of the people who were there.

About the cast, Mark Wahlberg, Kurt Russell, Douglas M. Griffin, are the actors. I could not say anything about them, I don´t see many movies so I don´t know them. For me it is not very relevant that.I agree with the filters of directors and Cinemas, that is enough for me.

If you don´t have the habit of going to the movies, you should go for a recent and real story , you will can to introduced in the movie, without interruption,in to experience, the intensity of ambient sound and images that experiment crew.

  5. Assassin's Creed is well know as one of the most popular videogame saga from the Ubisoft Company since 2007. There, in each game, we can turn into an assassin from a relevant period of time, like Crusades, Renaissance, or Victorian Era. At first, you are in the present time, and you have to get into the Animus, a kind of machine made by the Abstergo Company, made for recall ancestor's memories, and took from them the location of a Piece of Eden (a powerfull weapon left by the first civilization in orden to control the humanity). You have to defeat your creed and people against the Templars (Abstergo nowdays), and their desires of own the world, and own the Pieces of Eden.
This Assassin's Creed movie is as the games are; there is a character, this time an spanish assassin called Aguilar de Algarrobo from the Spanish Inquisition, and the present carácter who recalls those memories is Callum Lynch. Both characters are played by Michael Fassbender (well know as Magneto in the latest X-men movies, and in his role as Macbeth). Marion Cotillard, Michael K. Williams, and Brendan Gleeson join the cast next to Fassbender. About the cast, we don’t know too much. Actually, trailers don't show enough to get a concrete idea of what are the whole cast doing there.
As most of you must know, this is not the first time we see an adaptation from a videogame to the bigscreen: Prince of Persia, Street Fighters, Resident Evil, are between them, and some are hated by videogamers. Does it worth watch this film? Totally yes, and I’ll tell you why: this is a complete original assassin, never seen before in the games, so, we musn’t espected for an “adaptation” as well; it just took the sense of the game, but in a different story. Also, something we saw too at the games, and I hope this won’t be an exception, AC not only talk about the history as books show, they get into the deep and misterious story, so conspiration’s fans, get ready, because you must enjoy this film.
Would I pay for watching it at the cinema? I am a AC’s fan, at least I’m going to watch it in 2D, but I must insist…no other assassin can reach Ezio's legacy. If you like videogames, try these, you will enjoy them, as I hope you will enjoy the movie.
This movie will be released in december of this year on the USA, but in Chile it will be in january of 2017.

  6. I think the cinema is an excellent technique. It is a unique form of expression where vision and hearing combine to make a unique product. I like to watch Chilean movies, as it is a way to support national art. But in my opinion, the best film on the list is "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. '' I would like to see that movie, because princial actress is Eva Green, and she is a very good actress. I saw the series" Penny Dreadful "where she is the protagonist of the story, and it does very well.
The film "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children '' is based on the famous book: Ransom Riggs.
The director is Tim Burton, who is very successful in the film industry.

The film is about a 16-year-old Jacob Portman accidentally falls into a mysterious island. There, in "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" helps a group of orphaned children with different abilities and characteristics. In a way, the film shows acting skills possessed by new talents and is a good opportunity to observe special effects in movies. I'm excited to see the film in the film and recommend it, even without having seen it because I know it will be a good experience.

I go to the cinema to see these movies because I think it's an opportunity to see good movies.

  7. In my opinion 2016 is the year of the big dissapointed in the movies. There are a lots of movies that in trailers looks very nice, however were a total disaster. Exemples are a lots: Finding dory, X-Men: Apocalypse, Batman versus Superman, Suicide Squad, the secret life of pets etc. However the biggest disappointment isn´t in the list. I am talking about independence day 2: Resurgence.

This movie is about a big war between aliens and humans. The alien return to the earth 20 years after the first invasion with the objetive to kill all humans and take the earth forever. The argue is exactly the same that the first movie, in 1996. However the development of the movie is much worst. The actors are implausible and a lots of time looks like the director don't know where is he and where he wants go.
Definitely I would not recommend this movie to anyone. if someone want to do something unproductive is better to see how the grass grows that see this movie.

  9. The Legend of Tarzan is an action adventure film based on the fictional character, Tarzan. The film is directed by David Yates. The mains characters are Alexander Skarsgård (Tarzan) and Margot Robbie (Jane).

When Tarzan is living in London, is called back to his former home in the jungle to investigate the activities at a mining encampment. In this place the hunting of Tarzan will begin coming soon.

The movie begins slow, and is difficult understand in the first minutes, however, when Tarzan arrive to Africa, this changes and the film is exciting until the end.

I did not watch Skarsgård acting in other films, but I watched films like The Wolf of Wall street and Suicide Squad (her most recent movie) when Margot Robbie is protagonist. In my opinion, Robbie, in addition to be beautiful (very beautiful), is a good actress and today, is a famous person in the social networks.

I will recommend this movie, but people should not watch this movie in the cinema. Despite is a good film; people can watch the movie online and save their money for to watch other films better.

  11. The Birth of a Nation is a North-American film, based mainly on the biography of Nat Turner, a slave, leader and preacher who organized a revolt against slavery in 1831, after have taken knowledge of the consequences it brings slavery.

After to have seen the trailer for the film, I really wanted to see this movie, because slavery is an issue that really catches my attention and connects directly with racism. For this reason, I think that see the process of revolution from a visual perspective, it is extremely rewarding because it generates a series of senaciones and emotions that allow the receiver not only enjoy the film but also reflect about social and political issues.

In relation to the characters, I would stress that catches my attention that the producer and director Nate Parker, be the same person who plays the lead role of Nat Turner. In this sence, I am expectant to see his performance like an actor.

Finally, although I have not seen this movie yet, I recommend this film because it allows us to know a reality that often seeks to keep hidden and therefore requires a critical reflection. That is why, I think definitely worth seeing this film in the cinema, sharing a time with family or friends.

  12. I choose the movie “The nightmare before Christmas”, because is a movie that I know it since when I was a girl, and I love the graphic image (this style of animation is very characteristics of Tim Burton). Also, I like the music in every scene played by their characters.

The plot’s description of the movie is that Jack, the protagonist, comes from the Halloween world, and he know the Christmas world, so he obsesses with this new world for him and wants to replace Santa Claus to start give gift to the children for this world in Christmas. So, then that the movie starts.

Maybe now the movie isn’t very surprising for me, because the plot is very simple, because it is directed to childhood’s public, but I keep good memories when I saw for the first time.

About the cast, I just could judge on the voices, because the actors are animations. But the voices are fine for me.

I recommend see this movie in the cinema because is very fun and interesting, specially to the children. But it ‘s a ancient movie, so maybe you can find it in a special cinema. But if you don´t find it in a cinema, always you can see it through internet.

  13. This movie directed by Tim Burton is about a 16 year old boy who follows some clues that lead him to an old orphanage. However, this place was destroid and he meets there a girl name Emma who leads him to discover that actually the orphanage has not disappeared.

In my opinion if you are a fan of Tim Burton´s movies this is not a good example. Become a few years this director lose his talets to make good films, like “Corpse bride” (my favorite movie) and the musical “Sweeney Todd” because I think he started abusing the obscurantism of his films. Consequently, this movie reflects the decline of a genius.

About the cast, I don´t really know the actors but I saw before Eva Green in other Tim Burton´s movie (Dark Shadows) and I prefer her performance in that film than this.

Finally, I will not recommend this film (with the pain of my heart) Because is to boring and slow and definitly a bad movie with a bad argument. Better it would be read the book or see the movie in Netflix. Nevertheless, I continue thinking that Tim Burton is the brilliant director, created of several of my favorite movies and that deserves that the people know and enjoy it his art.

  14. Doctor Strange is an American film released in 2016 and based on the superhero of Marvel comics, directed by Scott Derrickson. Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong and Mads Mikkelsen compose the cast. The story is about a surgeon who have changed the focus of his life when a sorcerer teach him that are other ways to save lifes, so he begins to train to protect the world against the forces of evil.
It seems to be a electrifying and fast-paced movie with a lot of action and special effects, i think that this film tries to follow the same line that others Marvel movies like Avengers, Iron Man and Spiderman, among others. In the other hand. Referring to the cast, Benedict Cumberbatch has favorable reviews at The Imitation game performing Alan Turing, also he received good comments performing Smaug at The Hobbit, but the most remarkable appearance is at the Tv show named Sherlock Holmes. Chiwetel Ejiofor has notable performance at 12 years a slave, even he have been nominated to the Oscar 2014. Meanwhile, Rachel McAdams has a poignant performance at The notebook. It should mentioned that this film are probably the first superhero movie of the three actors above, nevertheless it is a experienced cast for a promising film.
If you are a superhero film lover or just a fan of the action genre you should get up of your seat and go to buy some tickets to watch it on the cinema, specially if you love the special effects, in another cases you should wait for the online version.
